Hope Gangloff was born and raised in Amityville, NY frequenting Long Island’s Great South Bay with her brother and family. She attended Cooper Union in NYC for Art, and has lived in and around the city for decades, currently residing in the Hudson Valley with her husband Benjamin Degen, their dog Waggie, and many fellow painters.
Gangloff uses painting to communicate with the people she loves, believing that paintings have the capacity to express many things atonce, where language fails.
At any time, Gangloff is either painting, thinking about painting, organizing her art supplies, or sleeping.She wants more people to be painters, to share in this joy.
